Summer 1959. Abandoned by the father of her children, Claire—who is pregnant—entrusts her eldest son, Louis, to a couple of friends,
Marcelle and Pelo. The young Parisian boy must learn to adapt to country life and the strange atmosphere pervading the couple's home—a
household divided for years by a heavy secret. The little boy's arrival will mark a fresh start for them.
Louis, a nine-year-old boy from Paris, spends his summer vacation in a small town in Brittany with Marcelle and her husband Pelo. There Louis makes friends with Martine, the ten-year-old girl next door, and learns from her about life.
