Mini Passe-Passe is a collection of French-language textbooks designed for young children ages 5 to 7 who are beginning to
learn French.
Based primarily on oral communication and playful activities, the collection is especially well suited to young learners who are still developing their reading skills. Mini Passe-Passe takes children on a fun and engaging learning journey, helping them discover French through stories, characters, songs, and interactive activities.
Your child has had little to no exposure to French and has never taken any French classes.
Your child has already taken a session of classes with us or has received some instruction in French at school, or is exposed to French at home and can speak it a little. They can talk about everyday life, animals, colors, body parts, and basic emotions.
Your child has already taken two sessions of classes with us or has received substantial instruction in French at school, and/or is
regularly exposed to French at home and can form sentences.
If you are unsure of your child's level, please contact us directly by email at the following address: alliance@afphila.com.

Mini Passe-passe 4-5 ans
Essential
vocabulary and beginner language structures through engaging thematic units such as “Les vêtements,” “L'école” and
"L'anniversaire". Children learn to recognize and name familiar items, simple verbs such as
marcher, écouter, danser and numbers (up to 9), colors (primary and secondary), and adjectives.
Mini Passe-passe 5-6 ans
Deepens and expands
the themes introduced at a beginner level. Children discover more vocabulary, learn to introduce
themselves (“Tu t’appelles comment ?”, “J’habite avec…”), describe how they feel (“Je suis fatigué(e), en forme…”),
how to locate objects and themselves, etc.
Registration for the Fall session opens on Monday, August 17.
