Roxane Petit-Rasselle is an associate professor at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where she
directs the French Program and teaches courses in French language, literature, and culture. Her publications and presentations examine
Dumas's authorial strategies, political claims, and modes of representation, as well as the development of literary myths and the use of
mythical elements in the works of Dumas and his contemporaries. She is also interested in Guignol puppet theater in 19th-century Lyon.
