Synopsis: When Suze Trappet learns at 43 that she is seriously ill, she decides to search for the child she was forced to give up when she was 15. Her bureaucratic quest leads her to cross paths with JB, a man in his fifties experiencing burnout, and Mr. Blin, a blind archivist with an impressive enthusiasm. Together, the three embark on a quest as spectacular as it is improbable.
Albert Dupontel is a French actor, film director and screenwriter. Following his father's path, he studied medicine but eventually switched to theater, disillusioned by hospital life. He started his career as a stand-up comedian.
The synopsis sounds tragic but this is a genuine gem of modern French cinema. Between burlesque and tragedy, Albert Dupontel's seventh
feature film is one of his best, and hits the mark: right in the heart. A surprisingly tight, deliciously black comedy which offers a marvel
of humor and poetry. It is at once frenzied and ultra-controlled, beautiful and crazy, a crowd-pleasing mix of dystopian nightmare and
French farce at its finest. Join us for a screening of the film and to sip and snack on popcorn and refreshments!
