Gigi Kuhn will share a creative selection by historical and architectural style, offering a unique experience through different eras of French history. Students will discover the many styles of famous French castles in various regions and present their favorite style in the final class. Travel virtually to discover castle treasures in France!

Tu comprends-tu l'québécois ? 

Parler français au Québec peut parfois être déroutant, surtout lorsqu’on a appris le français standard, celui de France. Expressions uniques, prononciation bien à elle, accent chantant et un univers culturel richement distinct : le français québécois réserve bien des surprises… même aux locuteurs natifs !

À l’occasion du premier voyage linguistique de l’Alliance Française de Philadelphie à Québec, nous vous proposons 5 séances pour découvrir le Québec : son histoire, sa culture et, bien sûr, les bases du français québécois.

Au programme :

  • Pourquoi parle-t-on français au Québec ? Pourquoi de nombreux Québécois ne parlent-ils pas anglais ?
  • Quelles sont les grandes différences entre le français de France et celui du Québec ?
  • Quelles expressions risquez-vous d’entendre le plus souvent là-bas ?
  • Quelles sont les traditions, fêtes, symboles, gastronomie du Québec?
  • Et bien plus encore !

 Cette session est une introduction au français québécois. Elle ne vise pas à couvrir toutes les expressions existantes, mais à vous donner des repères pour mieux comprendre et apprécier cette richesse linguistique.
