GENERAL INFORMATION

Alliance Française de Philadelphie offers French classes all year round. We have four 10-week sessions per year during fall, winter, spring, & summer.

Our general French classes meet once a week for 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on class size. The level of classes ranges from A1 to C1. We limit the number of students in our classes to 8 students maximum.

We currently offer online and in-person classes, taught by highly qualified French instructors.

PRICING

GENERAL ADULT CLASSES

$375.00 for a 10-week session (material not included) - price of course materials depends on course level.

Enrollment is contingent upon advanced payment for course and materials. To be eligible for a refund, students must contact the office at least 24 hours before the first class. After the first class, only a credit for the next session will be issued (a $30.00 cancellation fee plus $35.00 per class is retained by the Alliance Française).

No credit is issued after the end of the 3rd week of classes.

SPECIALIZED CLASSES - Winter 2025

Préparation DELF B2

Get ready to succeed on the DELF B2 exam! This 5-week course offers targeted practice in listening, reading, writing, and speaking, plus expert tips and strategies to help you perform your best. Work with authentic materials, complete mock exams, and build the skills and confidence you need for test day.

Préparation DALF C1

Get ready to succeed on the DALF C1 exam! This 5-week course offers targeted practice in listening, reading, writing, and speaking, plus expert tips and strategies to help you perform your best. Work with authentic materials, complete mock exams, and build the skills and confidence you need for test day.

Phonétique workshop

Refine your French accent and boost your confidence in speaking! This 5-week course focuses on the key elements of authentic French pronunciation, including les liaisons, consonants, vowels, regional accents, and fun tongue twisters to train your ear and mouth. Through guided practice and interactive exercises, you’ll develop clearer, more natural French pronunciation and a better ear for the rhythm and melody of the language.

Châteaux de France

France is very famous for its magnificent, original, and unusual castles. Gigi Kuhn will share a creative selection by historical and architectural style, offering a unique experience through different eras of French history. Students will discover the many styles of famous French castles in various regions and present their favorite style in the final class. Travel virtually to discover castle treasures in France!
