Apéro-Lectures
Join us for an Apéro-Lectures Event—an evening of great words and good company. Unwind as featured readers share
short readings in a casual, welcoming atmosphere designed for conversation and connection. Whether you’re coming for the literature, the
community, or DJ Romain "Let Us", this is the perfect way to relax, listen, and enjoy the creative energy. Bring a friend, grab a
drink, and settle in for an inspiring and laid-back apéro of readings.
Romain "Let Us" is a Philadelphia-based French DJ. Every one of his DJ sets defies genre boundaries & is a unique blend of
upbeat songs. Expect bangers, burners, bops, and everything in-between. Witnesses often reported impromptu dance parties wherever he has
been sighted. Romain started DJing in France but decided to bring his talent over to the USA years ago and Philadelphia adopted him the
moment he set foot here. When he is not behind the wheels of steel, you're likely to find him in obscure corners of record stores around
the world, digging for nuggets for your future enjoyment.
First held in New York in 2021, the festival has since expanded worldwide. These unique gatherings foster warm, friendly encounters between
authors, artists, cultural figures, and the public.
For the first time, the festival will take place in Philadelphia, offering the French-speaking community of the region the opportunity to
take part in this special event. The festival incorporates a strong civic dimension, fully aligned with the history and vision of its team:
education, the fight against inequality, and cultural transmission. In partnership with the Alliance Française de Philadelphie, the festival
will take place here on April 12–13! This will be a special opportunity for the region’s French and Francophone community to take part in
this exclusive event.
