Once again this year, our Bastille Day festivities were a great success and it’s all thanks to you! We are truly grateful for your enthusiasm, your support, and your presence throughout this joyful celebration which brings together Francophones and Francophiles from across Philadelphia.
In partnership with Philadelphie Accueil, the celebrations began with a joyful picnic at FDR Park featuring Andrew’s Big Show, café
waiters’ race, a game of pétanque : a fun and relaxed afternoon of French joie de vivre.
On Bastille Day, the fourth annual French flag raising took place in front of City Hall. The ceremony included speeches by Honorary
Consul Marine Fraval-Vennel and former Honorary Consul Michael Scullin, as well as performances of the French and American anthems by
Jen Fellman and José Mendez.

Set at Valley Green Inn, in the beautiful Wissahickon Valley, our festive Bastille Day Benefit Dinner was a true highlight. Guests enjoyed a 3-course French meal, a curated wine selection from Celerier’s Cellar, and enchanting live music from singer Jen Fellman and accordionist Will Holshouser.
