Join us for a Taste of Switzerland in the presence of Christine Pfister Consule Honoraire de Suisse in Philadelphia

The "Swiss Week of Taste" in 2025 will be held from September 18 to 28. It is an event that celebrates food and culinary experiences while fostering connections within the Swiss food community.

At the Alliance française in Philadelphia we wish to celebrate and invite you to join us for a gastronomic discovery and tasting of 4 Swiss local products.

Find out about where in Switzerland they come from, learn some vocabulary about the five senses, including taste and share a moment of conviviality.

The event will fold in three parts: 

• A short introduction by the Consule Honoraire de Suisse In Philadelphia - Christine Pfister
• A tasting workshop with four local Swiss products  (Wine - Cheese - Cured Meats - Chocolate) using four of the five senses : Sight, Smell, Touch, Taste
• A social event with Swiss food and wine where you can practice your French with members of the francophone community in Philadelphia

This workshop followed by a social event is organised by Elodie Malhomme de la Roche, Cultural Coordinator at l’Alliance Française de Philadelphie with the support of Sophie D. Schaller Wright who is native from Switzerland and a long time Instructor of AF Philadelphia teaching French as a foreign language and Quentin Massard, a native from Lausanne, Switzerland and also instructor at the AF Philadelphia.
