No previous theatrical experience needed
With this discipline, there are no long Shakespearean tirades to learn or staging instructions to follow: in his performances, the actor
plays in public, without a predefined text, without prior staging, according to his inspiration. Improvisational theater is a rigorous
discipline, which calls upon the techniques of dramatic art, but also of singing, dance and even mime. For the actor, improvisation allows
him to develop creativity, listening, exchange and adaptability.
Adrian is a Frenchman who immigrated to the USA ten years ago and has been practicing improvisational theater and clowning as an amateur in Philadelphia for the past two years. He is excited to share his love of theater in both languages during this workshop at the Alliance Française.
Amber is a life long theater lover, student and actor and has been an improviser in Philadelphia for over 10 years. As an intermediate French speaker, she was delighted to discover a French improv group at the Alliance Francaise this spring which led to the new adventure of bilingual improv! Amber looks forward to continuing to discover new and interesting things through language and play!
