SIGN UP FOR OUR WINTER SESSION 2021 !
Due to the situation around the COVID-19 outbreak in the USA and the directives of the state of Pennsylvania, the Alliance Française de Philadelphie is now offering courses online.
What is an online class? An online class is a live video conference with your instructor and fellow students that will follow the usual format and syllabus.
How does it work? The Alliance Francaise de Philadelphie is using Zoom for
all the virtual classes.
In addition to that, students and instructors can find their own class on a platform called Apolearn. It
very much looks like a Facebook page: Your contacts are your instructor and your classmates. Functions include activity feed, sharing
resources and articles, and an online chat. Students can also practice and do their homework, record their voices and videos (recordings are
private and are not used "outside" the class).
NB: Not all classes participate in the ApoLearn program.
What do I need? A computer with a webcam and a microphone, an internet connexion. Please click here
I am a new student: How do I sign up?
Send us an e-mail at alliance@afphila.com .
Our team will guide you through options and provide placement tests for new students who already know some French.

REGISTRATION PROCESS
We require all prospective students with previous experience studying French or living in a French speaking country to take a placement test to determine their appropriate level before registering.
The placement test takes between 15-20 minutes to complete.
Once we receive the results of your placement test, one of our professors will contact you directly for a quick conversation in French.
They will then let you know your level and schedule options for your course.
If you are a complete beginner (101 level) or know your level and course time please download and fill out the student
registration form and
return it to us via email at alliance@afphila.com.
