Since its founding in 1903, the Philadelphia Chapter of the
Alliance Française has encouraged the study of the
French language and literature, promoted French culture and
fostered friendly relations between France and the United
States with a uniquely Philadelphia touch, style and tradition.

It's never too early to start to study a second language. Register you child for our Wednesday or Saturday classes! In class children will participate in various activities such as crafts, stories, French songs, music, learn to introduce themselves, and follow directions. The cost is $130 for 10 weeks.
Saturdays
12:00 noon to 1:00 pm - 5 to 6 years old
1:00 pm to 2:00 pm - 7 to 10 years old
Wednesdays
4:00 pm to 5:00 pm - 7 to 10 years old

Sign up now for our next 10 week fall session of courses starting on September 15th including topics on Literature, French for Travel and Business French. We will also be offering Immersion classes. They are all day Saturday French classes geared towards conversation, with reviews of grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary.

We Have Wi-Fi!
The Alliance Française just had a Wi-Fi network installed in our offices and are eager for you to take advantage of this modernization. Just bring your laptop in and use our Wi-Fi at any time that the office and classroom space is open (Mon-Fri from 9:30 am – 9:30 pm, Friday 9:30 am – 6:00 pm). You will just need to know our Network ID and the WEPkey and to be a current Member. Ask for further information at the reception desk, or call our offices and get it from us before you arrive.

Ciné-Midi (Films)
Every Tuesday at noon, bring your lunch and watch a French movie with English subtitles. Refer to our Blog for current movie listing or call the AF office.
The
Alliance Française school has two campuses (Center
City Philadelphia and Bryn Mawr College), a faculty of more
than twenty and a yearly registration of 1500 students. The
school offers a wide variety of courses designed to meet the
needs of all students, from complete beginners to those who
are fluent in French and want to further their conversational
and/or grammatical skills as well as their knowledge of French
civilization and culture.
